Nathan Stephens is a Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal & General Surgeon based in Liverpool.
Raised in Aberdeenshire, he then studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh, and trained in surgery across several Scottish hospitals. He completed a PhD in 2013 which was awarded the prestigious Syme Medal. He was a Scottish Clinical Leadership Fellow in 2014/15 allowing him to expand his skills in medical/healthcare leadership and management. He completed the final stages of his subspecialty Upper Gastrointestinal & General Surgery training in Glasgow before spending a year as Senior Fellow in Oesophago-gastric Surgery in Cambridge, UK.
